Memorial Park Cemetery



Funeral service for James "Jim" Butler, age 89, of Waukomis, will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Central Christian Church with Rev. Dr. Jarrett Banks and Rev. Shannon Speidel officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Jim was born August 11, 1927 in Enid, to Lacey Sherman and Floy (Bolenbaugh) Butler, and passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in Enid.

Jim attended school at Waukomis and Carrier. He served in the United States Army during World War II. On May 18, 1949 he married Marjorie Adams in Enid, and they made their home on the family farm. Jim was a self employed master plumber and a farmer. He was a member of Central Christian Church and the American Legion.

Jim is survived by his wife Marjorie of the home; 2 children Vicki Roberds of Oklahoma City, and Ron Butler and wife , Lawana of Enid; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a brother Lacey Butler (Mary) of Enid; and 2 sisters Margaret Stevenson of Lawrence, Kansas, and Barbara Boehs of Billings, Montana.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert.

Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to Waukomis Fire Department or Central Christian Church. Guestbook is available at www.andersonburris.com
