Betty (Phillips) Bittle, 75, passed away May 22, 2013 in Baldwin Park, California. Betty lost her battle to seizures she bravely fought her entire adult life. Betty was born on July 28, 1937, in Enid, Oklahoma, the only child of Curtis & Loretta (Webb) Phillips. Betty grew up in Enid & married Bruce Bittle in 1953. They had just proudly celebrated 60 years of marriage April 24th. In 1959, Bruce & Betty moved away from Enid to Arizona & later on to California. In 2003, they returned to the Tulsa area where they built their dream home. They were recently forced by health reasons to return to California to be closer to their children. Betty worked several jobs outside of the home, including that of sales clerk for Woolsworth's & JC Penney's, as an Avon lady & as a trucking partner with Bruce. Her most cherished roles were those of housewife, mother & grandmother.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Bittle, of Covina, California. Daughter & son-in-law, Cheryl & Garth Epler of Covina, California. Daughter, Rebecca Serna of Mesa, Arizona. Son & daughter-in-law, Lee & Janet Bittle of Fort Mohave, Arizona. Grandchildren Jeremy, Mario, Angela & Valerie & 4 greatgrandchildren.

The family will be receiving visitors at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, Thursday evening from 6 to 7:30 pm. Services will be held at 10 am on Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel in Enid. Rev. Keith Miller will preside over the services. Her burial will immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
