Lane Benham
January 29, 1934 - February 21, 2023

A celebration of life ceremony for Lane Benham, age 89, from Enid will be at 2 pm, Thursday March 9, 2023 at Stittsworth Memory Chapel with, Minister Timothy Benham will be officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Lane was born on the family farm near Okeene, Oklahoma to Harold Lee and Daisy Amy (Webster) Benham and passed from this life at his home in Enid, Oklahoma on February 21, 2023. He married his high school sweetheart Bettie Lou (Isbill) Benham on August 16, 1952. Lane worked as a shift miller in Okeene until they moved in 1968 to be a shift miller with the Pillsbury Company in Los Angeles, California then Minneapolis, Minnesota and finally back to Enid as a Milling Superintendent with Pillsbury in 1977 then later with Archer Daniels Midland (ADM).

He is survived by the love of his life for 71 years, Bettie Lou (Isbill) Benham. Their three children, Tim and wife Patricia; daughter Laura Renee Benham; and daughter Rachelle Ducharme and husband Scott; seven grandchildren: David, Samuel and Timothy Benham, Nichole, Courtney (Price), Taylor and Joshua Ducharme; brother Monte Benham and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Amy Benham, five siblings Ronald and Gary Benham, Una Gay Reems, Alynn Isbill, and Kay Sheets.

Lane was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling the country with Bettie checking out new golf courses striving for that perfect game. Now he is playing that perfect game with his creator.
