Wednesday, April 28th, 1954 - Monday, December 5th, 2022

A graveside service for Claudia Bengtson, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Enid, will be 10:00 am, Friday, December 16, 2022 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Vernon Lee officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Claudia was born April 28, 1954 in Enid, to Jack C. Bengtson and Norma R. (Norman) Bengtson, and passed away at her home in Houston, Texas on December 5, 2022 at the age of 68 years. She lived and traveled with her parents and siblings to Texas, Louisiana, Libya, Mozambique, Denmark, and Kuwait. Claudia graduated High School from The American School of Kuwait in 1972. She continued her education at the University of Oklahoma and earned a degree in Political Science. After graduation from college, she moved to Houston, Texas where she worked in the financial industry employed by Criterion for over 25 years. Claudia retired from Criterion but continued to work at Emerson Electric.

Claudia was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her mother, Norma Bengtson, of Colorado Springs, CO; brother Frank Bengtson and wife Lisa, of Houston, TX; sister Karen Douglas and husband Don, of Colorado Springs, CO; niece Audrey Partridge and husband Preston, of Colorado Springs, CO; nephew Graham Douglas of Raleigh, NC; nephew Ian Douglas and wife Kirstie, of Virginia Beach, VA; six great-nieces and nephews as well as numerous cousins and their families.

Claudia was an intelligent, kind, and generous person. She loved to travel and explore. She was always reading books and magazines. Needlepoint was also a favorite pastime. She will be missed by family, friends, and colleagues.

Memorial contributions in Claudia's name may be made to The Museum of Fine Art Houston or UNICEF with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
