Bertha Alice Beech
November 9, 1936 - September 30, 2023

The funeral for Bertha Beech, 86 year-old Enid resident is 11:00AM Wednesday, October 4, 2023 in the Henninger-Hinson Chapel. Rev. Glenn Watson will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Bertha was born November 9, 1936 in Guthrie to Curtis and Pearl (Jarvis ) Fent and died Saturday, September 30, 2023 in Integris Bass Baptist Hospital. At a young age she moved with her family to Enid where she attended Enid High School. She began working as a health care provider for many families in Enid for over 30 years before retiring in 2010. She also baked cakes out of her house for many years.

On April 25, 2003 she married Douglas Beech in Enid. She was a long-time member of Emanuel of Enid and a member of the Red-Hat Ladies. She was an avid square-dancer. As she was also an accomplished seamstress, she made all of she and Doug's square-dancing outfits. She was an excellent baker. She enjoyed fishing and gaming at the casinos. She also liked picture framing.

She is survived by her children, Gloria Blevins and husband Pat of Edmond, Carol Lewis and husband John of Drummond, Rickie Klein of Crescent, Linda Mitchell and husband Steve of Crescent, and Teresa Peery of Crescent. Step-children, Shelly C. Beech, Diane Chavez, Christopher Beech and Matthew Beech. 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Doug in 2015, three brothers, Roy, Ray, and Loyal and four sisters, Viola, Dorothy, Velma, and Marguarite.

Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to Elara Hospice.
