A Celebration of Life for Jim Becker, age 89 years, of Enid, is 2:00 pm, Monday, October 23, 2017 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Alan Seibel officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Jim was born May 18, 1928 in Goltry, Oklahoma to Alvin and Irene (Johnson) Becker, and passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in Enid.

He attended Goltry Public Schools. He married Dorotha Schultz on November 9, 1957 in Goltry, and then they established their home in Enid. Jim was employed at Vance Air Force Base for thirty-four years before retiring in 1990. Jim was an avid gardener and was a member of the Men's Garden Club in Enid. He and Dorotha were long time members of the YMCA, and were members of Oakwood Christian Church. They loved to travel and went on trips to Germany, France, and a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, as well as trips throughout the United States.

He is survived by his wife Dorotha Becker, of the home in Enid; brother-in-law Delmer Schultz and sister-in-law Debora Schultz, of Enid; as well as several nephews and nieces.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Irene Becker, and one brother and a sister.

Memorials in Jim's name may be made to Oakwood Christian Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
