August 17, 1967 - June 9, 2023

The funeral for Cindy C. Bailey, 55-year-old Enid resident, is 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2023, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Gene Long will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Cindy was born August 17, 1967, in Enid to Davis and Grace (Van Winkle) Morgan and died Friday, June 9, 2023, in Oklahoma City after a long illness.

She attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1985. On December 29, 1990, she married Les Bailey, and the couple made their home in Enid. She began her career with Messer-Bowers Insurance in 1995. She was a Customer Commercial Account Manager. She worked up until the time of her death.

She devoted her time to the United Way, spearheading the Chili Cook-off for several years. She was also heavily involved with the Child Abuse Awareness through CASA and collected dolls at work to be displayed on the courthouse lawn every April.

In her younger years she and Les enjoyed riding their Harley-Davidson. She attended all of her children's sporting events. She was an animal lover and rescued countless pets.

She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Bailey of Oklahoma City; her mother, Lorraine Watson of Enid; two brothers, Chris and Rusty Atkinson, both of Enid; one sister, Jennifer Tietz of Owassso, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her fathers, David Morgan and Bob Atkinson; her husband Les; her son Tanner; and her beloved fur-babies Gunner and Myla, her cocker spaniels.

Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to the Enid SPCA.
