Barbara E. Baade
February 27, 1936 - August 15, 2009

Funeral service for Barbara E. (Zaloudek) Baade, 73, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She was born Feb. 27, 1936, in Enid to Carroll and Violet Seacrest Zaloudek and passed away early Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at The Commons Methodist Home. She grew up in the Kremlin community, where she attended school. Barbara married Dale Baade Nov. 12, 1960, in Enid. She was a farmer's wife and co-owner of Baade farms. She was an active member of the Lions, where she participated in the Mary Briggs Lioness Club, Enid Briggs Lions Club and North Enid Lions Club. She was involved in the Imo Neighbors Club and the Banner Home Extension Club. Barbara was a lifelong seamstress, sewing for her children and grandchildren. She also made collectibles, including dolls, quilts and unique items. Barbara was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and later became a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She served as a Girl Scout leader. Barabara was a member of Chisholm FFA Mother's Club and honorary chapter member of the Chisholm FFA.

She is survived by her husband, Dale, of the home; three sons, John Parks of Mt. View, Calif., Chris Baade of Edmond and Dale F. Baade II of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Elaine Baade Lambert of Barstow, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; our special angel, Connie Baade; her mother, Violet Zaloudek of Brownwood, Texas; two brothers, Bruce Zaloudek of Coventry, R.I., and Bernard Zaloudek of Providence, R.I.; and one sister, Linda Bollum of Brownwood, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research, Alzheimer division, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Oklahoma Lions Boys Ranch or Boy Scouts of America with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the fund.
