Randolph, died Sunday evening in a local hospital having been in failing health for some time. Her funeral will be Wednesday at 10 AM in Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Lloyd H. Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery beside her husband. Mrs Allen was born July 11, 1884, at McCune, Crawford County, Kansas. She came to Oklahoma with her parents in a covered wagon February 1898, settling in the old Coldwater community in Grant County. At the time the railroad came through, she moved to Hillsdale and attended the Jetmore and Lacy schools. On Christmas Day in 1907, she married John J. Allen and resided in Drummond and briefly at Dallas, Texas, before moving to Enid where she had remained since. She was a member of the Central Christian Church and the Women's Bible Class. She was also a life member of Neal Chapter No. 453, Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include one son, Hugh H., Enid; one grandson and one granddaughter, and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, three sisters, three brothers and her husband. |

Allen, 81, who died Sunday afternoon in a local hospital following a lengthy illness, will be at 2 PM Thursday in the Henninger Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev T. A. Chick will officiate and burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. Mrs Allen was born in Mayday, Kansas, and moved to Quinlin with her parents when she was 13 years old. She attended Quinlin schools and later taught in Belva for several years. She and Audra Allen were married at Canadian, Texas, March 14, 1910. Following her husband's death in 1919, Mrs Allen moved to Enid. She worked at the Enid high school cafeteria for many years. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs E. E. [Bessie] Lawver, Enid, and Mrs R. J. [Leola] Phillips, El Reno; two sons, Marion D. Allen, Evergreen, Colorado, and Fred D. Allen, Everett, Washington; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Myrtle Cavanaugh and Mrs James B. Lord, both of Enid. |

Waldron presiding for Everett L. Allen, 65, who died in a local hospital Saturday following a period of ill health. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. A native of Kiowa Kansas, he came to Enid when he was a young man and had lived here since. He drove a wagon for the Quality Laundry for some time before driving for Red Ball and later various cab companies. He retired two years ago due to his health. He was a member of the Christian Church and of the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Connie Short, Enid, and Mrs K. F. Mongold, Amarillo, Texas; two sons, Marvin Ward, Enid, and Thomas W., Bartlesville; 10 grandchildren, one great grandchild; and three sisters, Mrs Etta Breeden, Los Angeles, California, Mrs Roger Philips, Washington, DC, and Mrs Lorena Hill, Alva. |

Allen, 80, 517 S. 10th, who died in a local nursing home Sunday, will be at 2 PM Tuesday in the Rush Avenue Baptist Church. Rev James F. A native of Sylvia, Kansas, Miss Allen was reared on a farm in the Goltry and Carrier communities upon which her father had staked a claim at the time of the opening of the Cherokee Strip. She taught school and worked in the Masonic Home in Guthrie for some time. She moved to Enid in the early 1930s and was employed by Swift and Company for several years. She was a member of the Rush Avenue Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School class. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs Pearl B. Rankin, Enid, and Mrs Maggie Bonnell, San Bernardino, California; several nieces and nephews, including Mrs C. E. Gilbert and Robert V. Allen, both of Enid. |

Allen, 73, 2214 Indian Drive, a long time Enid business man, died early Tuesday after an illness of several weeks. His funeral service will be at 2 PM Thursday in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Dr Leslie G. Everitt officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The casket will not be opened after the service. Those who wish may make Memorial contributions to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in Allen's memory, with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund. Allen was born in Enid and graduated from high school here. He attended Phillips University and the University of Oklahoma at Norman where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He graduated from Houston University. After his marriage to Pauline Smith in 1924, Allen operated a service station at Garber during the oil boom and later moved to Perry, operating a gasoline agency there. While living in Perry, Allen served two terms in the Oklahoma State Legislature. He was a member and past President of the Perry Rotary Club and a former member of the Enid Rotary Club. He was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church. In 1942, the Allen's returned to Enid where they operated the Garfield County Tag office under three governors. During the two years he served as director of public relations for the National U S Highway 60 Association, 1956-1958, Alan traveled extensively, promoting the U S 60 Highway route across the United States. Because of ill health, he retired a few years ago. In addition to his wife Pauline, Alan is survived by a son, Roger D. Allen, Midland, Texas, and two grandchildren. |

Allen was a member of the American legion, Veteran of Foreign Wars [VFW], and Moose Lodge, all of Enid.Army Air Force He was also a member of Pleasant Vale Community Church. After the war ghe returned to Venzuela prospecting for iron ore for Bethlelem Steel. On June 16, 1961 he married Mildred Cole. They lived in Enid. He worked for Henninger-Allen Funeral Home, retiring in 1977. He was a member of Central Christian Church, American Legion and the VFW. Surviving are one nephew, John Allen of Enid; and one niece, Ann Robinson of Nashville, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers. Allen died early Monday of an apparent heart attack. He was born May 22, 1913, in Calista, Kansas, the son of Howard and Gladys Smith Allen. The family moved to the Lahoma community when he was 17 years old. Allen was a general construction engineer and had lived in several states. He had been employed by the General Baking Company for 13 years and had worked at the Enid State School from 1966 to 1976. For the past four years he had worked as a security guard for the B & M Security System. Allen is survived by a son, L. D. Funeral services for Noah V. Allen Sr, 1618 Ponca Drive, will be held at 10 AM Thursday in the Chapel of the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. Rev Charles Gibson will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Allen was born in Enid on January 11, 1913. He attended schools here and entered the used-car business in 1928. He worked for short periods of time in the lumber and jewelry business. He married Ethel Cline and February, 1948. He was a member of the Davis Park Christian Church, Masonic Lodge No 80, the Guthrie Consistory, the Order of the Eastern Star No 36, and the Loyal Order of the Moose No. 1740. He had a special deputy commission under the late Mason Hart and the late Pete Horrall. Survivors include his wife, of the home; one son, Noah Allen Jr, of Enid; one daughter, Mary Lou, Enid; and one brother, Raymond Allen, Clovis, New Mexico. He served in the U S Army in the European Theater during World War II, returning to Enid following his discharge. He was a 20-year employee of Gold Spot Dairy, retiring three years ago. He had also worked for Luckenbill Contractors for seven years. She attended school in Dodge City before moving to Hutchinson, Kansas, then to Enid in 1937. She attended Phillips University. On December 29, 1940, she married Ed Allen in Enid. She worked at the Garfield County Treasurer office for 25 years where she was deputy treasurer of Garfield County, retiring in 1981. She was a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and was visitation Secretary for 20 years. She also was a 54 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 36, the Red Carpet Chapter of American Business Women's Association [ABWA], the Daughters of the American Revolution [DAR], the Colonial Dames and a life member and past first lady of the Oklahoma Unit of the Wally BYAM Caravan Club International Inc. Surviving are her husband; one son, Dick of Enid; two daughters, Judy Puerta of Norman and Jane Roney of Edmond; and six grandchildren. © Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Enid, Oklahoma January 2006 December 15, 1919 ~ January 9, 2005 Edwin Francis Allen, devoted Christian husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, died of cancer at his Enid home on January 9, 2006. He was 86. Born at his parent's Shawnee home December 15, 1919, Ed was the youngest of eight children and the only son born to Edwin and Maggie Allen. The family moved to Fletcher when Ed was 3 months old. At age 13, Ed's father died, so he and his sisters worked picking cotton to support the family. After graduating from Fletcher High School, Ed moved to Enid, found work with H.A. Marr Wholesale Grocery and attended Phillips University before entering the Air Force during World War II. Upon his return from the military, he worked at Liberty Federal Savings and Loan for five years and for 35 years at Kingfisher Federal Savings and Loan before retiring as vice president and Enid branch manager in 1984. Ed married Madelyn June Matthews in 1940 in Enid. They were introduced by a mutual friend. Ed and his bride enjoyed 54 wonderful years of marriage. Their home was a gathering place for friends and family. They also loved playing golf together. After Ed's retirement, they frequently traveled in their Airstream until Madelyn's death in 1994. Ed and Madelyn were charter members of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was church treasurer for several years and was instrumental in its development into one of Enid's largest churches. In 1996, Ed married Betty Lee Pollard. Ed and Betty enjoyed playing dominos and cards with friends. They also attended many sporting events, especially baseball games of Ed's grandson Matt Roney. Ed was a longtime member of the Enid Noon Lion's Club and once was named boss of the year by the Red Carpet American Business Women. He also was board chairman of the Baptist Hospital for two years and was a member of the Wally Byam Caravan Club International, and was president of its Oklahoma Unit in 1989. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Madelyn; two sons, James David Allen and Edwin Richard "Dick" Allen; and six sisters, Alma Huddleston, Elma Kisner, Velma Burch, Bessie Ogle, Altha Thomason and Reba Jones. Survived by his wife, Betty; one sister, Edna Meyer of Lawton; two daughters, Judy Atwood and husband Loren of Oklahoma City, and Janie Roney and husband Steve of Edmond; daughter-in-law, Diana Allen; six grandchildren, Gayle Thornton, Mike Puerta, Reagan Allen, Ryan Allen, Melissa Freebern and Matt Roney; and three great grandchildren, Abbey Thornton, Logan Allen and Blake Allen. Also survived by his wife's children, Fred J. Dodds, Jo Ann Loucks and Tracy Dodds. Ed loved golf, playing until a month before his death, even while taking chemotherapy. He also was an avid gardener, growing vegetables in his back yard for more than 60 summers. Most important, Ed knew his eternity was secure, and he considered it his life's mission to minister to others, even to doctors and nurses during the final week of his life. He entered the U S Navy in 1942, serving in both the Atlantic and the Pacific before receiving his discharge in 1945. He and Hazel Ridgway were married June 30, 1946, in Sudan, Kansas. They lived in Enid where he worked for Banfield Packing Company and Gold Spot Dairy before retiring. He was a member of Saint Luke's United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife; one son, David of the home; one daughter, Becky Skelton of Oklahoma City; his mother, Eshterlee Wojahn of Enid; one sister, Mary Lee Mongold of Amarillo, Texas; and two grandsons. He moved with his parents to a farm southeast of Goltry, later moving to Gentry, Arkansas, where he graduated from high school. On June 18, 1944, he married Hazel M. Dixon in Springtown, Arkansas. They made their home in Auburn, Washington, later returning to Arkansas. In 1974, they moved to Enid. Allen was employed for 19 years at Lakeview Service Station and in 1966, started working at Vance Air of Force Base. He was employed as a hydraulic specialist by Northrup. Allen also owned and operated the University Station Laundry, and attended the Enid Bible Church. Survivors include his wife, Hazel; a son, Jim, Tulsa; two daughters, Mrs Gary [Eula Faye] Lentz, Seabrook, Texas, and Mrs Glenn [Tammy] Lastinger, Lawton; three grandchildren, his mother, Edna Faye Allen, Cushing; and three sisters, Virginia Bass, Texas, Mrs Bill [Marie] Remington, Cushing, and Mrs Kenneth [Irma] Armstrong, Pineville, Missouri. Bethel was born October 14, 1925 near Marshall, Oklahoma to David Harley Cline and Martha May [Blakley] Cline and died Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in Integris bass Baptist Health Center. She was named for her father's sister, Mildred States, and her mother's sister, Bethel Browning. She was reared on the farm and educated in Roxana Grade School. She graduared from Marshall High School in 1944. Bethel moved to Enid soon after graduation She married Noah V. Allen in 1947. They were parents of a son and daughter. The family made their home in Enid. They were in the automobile business along with purchasing the Lomgbell Lumber Company, Nash Lumber Yard, Knox Auto Stores and Rosenfiled Jewelry in Shawnee. After her husband's death, she retained the real estate holdings and continued with the investments And rental property management. Bethel graduated from Floral School in Denver, Colorado., and was a designer for 52 years. Previous to her designing career, she was a bookkeeper for Silver's Electric and was city clerk of North Enid. She and Richard Gray were married in 1874. They traveled extensively. He died in 1992. Bethel was a member of Davis Park Christian Church, Enid Chapter No. 36 of Order of the Eastern Star, local AARP, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, life member of Air Force Sergeants Widows, National Association of Retired Federal Employees and American Legion Auxiliary. Richard and Bethel were the first couple ever to become Kiwanis Club Members. She is survived by one son, Noah V. Allen Jr; one daughter, Mary Lucile(Allen) Durham; two granddaughters, April Sue Allen and Summer Bethel [Durham] Marrow, one great-grandson, Jacob Dewitt Marrow, one great-granddaughter, and one special daughter Claudine Rogers of Enid. Gene was a member of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was a passionate Harley Davidson rider and was a member of the Harley Owners Group. For 47 years, she and Gene owned and operated Allen Oil Company on North Van Buren. Millie loved bowling, camping, crafts of any kind and watching westerns. "Ernie" Allen, 76 year-old Enid resident will be at 1:00PM in Memorial Park Cemetery on Monday, January 3, 2011. Ernie was born November 11, 1934 in Enid to Roy and Sadie [Coburn] Allen and died Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in his home. He attended local schools and graduated with the class of 1953. On October 12, 1956 he married Deanna Dulick in Enid, where the couple made their home. He began his career in mechanics as a junior in high school, working for Pfrehm's Automotive. He later worked for Buck Payne at P&W Garage. He later bought the business and owned and operated it for several years. He was a life-long member of Pleasantvale Community Church. He enjoyed auto racing, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He is survived by his wife Deanna, of the home, his children; JoElla Coffey and husband Frank of Enid, Marvin Allen and wife Theresa of Enid, and Erin Denney and husband Randy of Enid. Seven grandchildren; Brandy, Amber, Hope, Chelsey, Tray, Kynna, and Kari. Six great grandchildren; Tabor, Addison, Macy, Jordon, Brysen, and Jacob. He held a Masters degree in criminal justice administration from Oklahoma City University, and retired from the U S Air Force as a special agent with the office of special investigation after 26 years. She graduated from Waukomis High School. Upon marrying John J. Allen, August 30, 1956, in Bison, the couple made Enid their home. Jeanette was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. She was very active in the Enid community as well as her church. Jeanette will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by Jerry Allen and Fawn Lamb of Enid, Bob and Margaret Allen of Branson, Missouri, and JoAnn and David Edson of Titusville, Florida. He worked for Morrison Wholesale, and was a member of the United States Army Reserve. In 1962 they moved to Enid where he was the manager of Morrison Wholesale until retirement in 1993. Wendell attended North Garland Church of Christ, and loved spending his free time golfing and playing bridge. Wendell is survived by his loving wife Patrece Allen of the home; nephews Tony Glenn of Altus, Terry Glenn [Stephanie] of Bristow, OK, and Bruce Emerson [Lisa] of Vernon, Texas; and a sister Merlene Emerson [Billy] of Vernon, Texas. He was a nice guy and will be missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Tommy Glenn.
