July 31, 1934 - September 12, 2021

Funeral services for Billy Lee Simmons, 87, Kremlin resident, will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 16, 2021 in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Pastor Lester Lowry officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Kremlin Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Billy was born on July 31, 1934 in Alva, Oklahoma, the son of William Franklin Simmons and Minerva Arnold Paris Simmons, and passed away peacefully on September 12, 2021 at his residence. Billy married the love of his life Bernice Corkill on October 8, 1958. He was blessed with 7 children: Chuck Simmons, William Simmons & wife Barbara, Beretta Schuermann & husband Steve, Robert Simmons & wife Cindy, Doug Simmons & wife Shawna, Loretta Czapansky & husband Randy, Joetta Simmons.

Billy enjoyed spending time with each and everyone of his nieces, nephews and his grandkids. He has several nieces and nephews. He has 36 grandkids, 49 great grandkids, 16 great great grandkids In is lifetime he was a jack of all trades, he cowboyed for Jim Zaloudek, & Tom & Jack Zaloudek, he retired from Farmers Grain/ Far Gas at 62 where he drove a propane truck and worked in the grain elevator & feed mill and still worked at Farmers Grain after retired to fill in his empty time. He was still working at the age of 86 for a farmer in Waukomis. Billy retired from the Kremlin Fire Department as well. He enjoy what he did and he never met a stranger.

He was survived by one sister Carolyn Davis and one brother Leroy Simmons & wife Paula.

He was preceded in death by his parent William Simmons, Minerva (Paris) Simmons.

Billy enjoyed life to the fullness and will be missed by many.
