Kremlin Cemetery


The graveside service for Cynthia Roberta Atkinson, 69 year-old, Enid resident, will be Friday, May 24, at 2 PM in Kremlin Cemetery. The Rev. Mack Atkinson will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

Cynthia was born October 23, 1932 in Toging, Germany to Michael and Kreszenz Prehofer and died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, in The Living Center in Enid.

On August 2, 1954 she married Jerry E. Atkinson in Germany. The couple moved to Enid after his retirement from the Air Force.

She worked at Woolco and then Hobby Lobby until retiring due to her health.

Surviving are one daughter, Patricia Williams and her husband Mark, of Enid, one son Richard E. Atkinson and his wife Susie, of Grain Valley, Missouri; nine grandchildren; Christie Everts (Atkinson), Simon Atkinson, Christopher Atkinson, Sean Williams, Jason Atkinson, Chad Williams, Angela Atkinson, Kelaiah Atkinson and Nathan Atkinson. Three great – grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Anna Gerber and her husband Franz of Toging, Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one son James E. Atkinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made either to Hospice Circle of Love or the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (Cancer Division) with Henninger-Allen acting as custodian of the fund.
