September 28, 1930 - March 31, 2018

The services celebrating the life of Dorlene Bennett, 87, of Enid, will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 5, 2018, in the I.O.O.F Cemetery south of Marshall. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born September 28, 1930, to Louis Schambron and Sophia Maria Lawrence Schambron in Elmdale, Kansas, and passed from this life on March 31, 2018, in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was raised and educated in Kansas. She married Omar Ray Bennett on September 7, 1951, in Elmdale, Kansas, where the couple made their home until moving to Enid in their later years. She was a member of Bible Baptist church where she loved interacting with all of the members. She enjoyed working in the yard, taking walks and absolutely loved her dog "Peanut."

She is survived by her two sons; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Omar Ray Bennett.
