Loa Faye and Vern PATEE

North I O O F Cemetery


The funeral for Loa Faye Patee, 88 will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at United Church of Christ in Marshall. Bill Bergner will officiate. Burial will be in North Marshall Lions Cemetery. Arrangements are by Abernathy-Aaron Funeral Home of Crescent.

She was born Jan. 2, 1918, on a farmstead near Marshall to Frank and Gerna Keeler Phelan and died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006, at her home.

She attended Marshall schools and made her home in Logan County. She married Vern O. Patee on May 23, 1936. He preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1983. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge and Marshall Christian Church. She attended United Church of Christ.

Surviving are two brothers, Max D. Phelan of Covington, and Harold Phelan of Crescent.

She was preceded in death by one brother, one sister and her longtime companion, Emil Mackey.
