Elmer E. Burchardt, 78, a former Enid resident, died Wednesday in Hydro. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Friday at North I00F Cemetery in Marshall with Dr. James K. White officiating. Arrangements are by Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home.

Burchardt was born February 4, 1909, in Marshall and moved to Enid as a young boy. He was a co – owner of B & W Trucking Company until his retirement. He had lived in Hydro since 1985.

On June 12, 1928, he married Mary Lovell. She died September 20, 1985.

Burchardt was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Marshall Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include four sons, Kenneth of Upland, California, Jerry and Charles, both of Enid, and Paul of Drummond; a sister, Euleen Gammon of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and 14 great – grandchildren.

Besides his wife, Mary, he was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Maple Lawn Manor Nursing Home in Hydro.
