Cecil Floyd Burchardt

January 10, 1915 - December 26, 2007

Cecil Floyd Burchardt born January 10, 1915 on the family farm southeast of Marshall, Oklahoma in Logan County. He left this life as we know it on December 26, 2007 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice via Christi, St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

Preceded in death by his parents, Ewald Oskar and Fannie May (Prince) Burchardt, brothers, Ralph Ewald, Carl Francis and Eugene Oskar; sister, Mabel Ruth Tucker; wife, Rachel Caroline (Griffey) Burchardt; daughter, Alice Mae Burchardt; granddaughter, Stacy Runyan and great granddaughter, Alisanne Terreck.

Survivors include, three sons, Cecil Edward Burchardt and wife Mary of Mulvane, KS, Henry Jerome Burchardt and wife Molly and Lewis Ewald Burchardt and wife Rhonda all of Guthrie, OK; four daughters, Martha Caroline Burchardt, Frieda Mann both of Oklahoma City, OK, Esther Ruth Martin and husband Vernon of Guthrie, OK and Joyce Runyan and husband Bruce of Piedmont, OK; eighteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Monday, December 31, 2007 at the Lighthouse Tabernacle in Guthrie, OK with Rev. William Monden officiating, burial will follow in the North Marshall Lions Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent, OK. The family has requested memorial be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, KS, The American Heart Association or The Villa Maria Nursing Center in Mulvane, KS.
