Ruby Darlene Shreve
March 14, 1943 - January 15, 2025
Funeral service for Darlene Shreve, 81 of Enid, will be Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 2:00 pm in Anderson-Burris Chapel with Pastor Bill Smith and Pastor Ron Olson officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Darlene was born on March 14, 1943 in Enid to Harvey Rudolph and Evelyn Bell (Earhart) Ehardt and passed away January 15, 2025 in Enid.
She grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School. On July 23, 1961, Darlene married George Harold Shreve and they made their home in Enid. She worked at the Bass building as an elevator operator until her pregnancy with Mark. Darlene became a homemaker and helped Harold install carpet. She enjoyed canning vegetables that their grew in their garden, and she loved to travel with Harold. Darlene loved her family and cherished the time she got to spend with her kids and her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charles and Dean Ehardt.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Harold; two children, Mark Shreve and Sharon Austin and her husband Jesse; two grandchildren, Kayla and Kallie Snowden; two great grandchildren, Adelynn and Ryker Nelson; four brothers, Rex, Jim, Orville and Paul Ehardt; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
