Rusann Kay
January 9, 1947 - December 17, 2024
The graveside services celebrating and honoring the life of Rusann (Walser) Kay, 77, of Texas, (formerly of Enid), will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday December 21, 2024 in the Enid Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A Life Celebration Home.
Rusann was born January 9, 1947, to Russell and Virgina (McCoy) Walser in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life December 17, 2024, in Princeton, Texas (just outside of Dallas).
She was raised and educated in Enid, graduating from Enid High School with the class of 1965. She later attended classes at Autry Vo-Tech and achieved her Early Childhood Development associate's degree. She worked at several childcare centers throughout the years and as a home health aide, but she was mostly a homemaker.
Rusann enjoyed spending time with her family, working on crossword puzzles and watching her favorite soap-operas or scary movies on TV. She also enjoyed talking about the good-old-days when she was a kid and when her boys were young.
She is survived by her two sons Brian Hale, of Western Oklahoma and Jeff Hale, of McKinney, Texas: daughter-in-law Cindy Hale and two grandchildren Heather and Asher Hale, all from McKinney, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Virginia Walser and her one brother Mike Walser.
Memorials may be made in her honor to the Oklahoma Medical Research Fund with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
Condolences and special memories may be shared with the family online at www.BrownCummings.com.
