Mrs. Benjamin (Theresa) Andrews, 77, died Monday evening following an extended illness.

She was born near Fairmont and grew up in the Fairmont – Douglas area. Mrs. Andrews graduated from St. Joseph's High School in Enid.

After graduation, she moved to San Francisco where she was employed as a secretary. She married Benjamin Andrews in San Francisco on December 16, 1924. The family moved to Harrison, Arkansas, where they resided for about 28 years before moving to Enid in 1971. Mrs. Andrews was an amateur golfer while living in Arkansas. She was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her husband, Benjamin, of the home; one brother, Albert H. Dulavey, El Paso, Texas; three nieces and two nephews.

Funeral service will be at 2 PM Friday in St. Matthews Episcopal Church with the Rev. Larry Harrelson officiating. Burial will be in the Douglas Cemetery under the direction of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until service time.

Funeral services for Benjamin T. Andrews, 87, will be at 10 AM Monday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert J. Gates Jr., the vicar of St. Paul's Church at Clinton, officiating. He will be buried in the Douglas Cemetery.

Andrews died early Friday in a local nursing home. His former address was 518 W. Iowa.

Andrews was born December 21, 1893, in New York City and grew up there, then moved to San Francisco, California, in 1922, where he owned and operated a mail order agency. He and Theresa Dulavey were married there December 16, 1924.

They moved to Harrison, Arkansas, in 1945. Andrews owned and operated a service station and grocery store there until his retirement in 1971, when he moved to Enid. Mrs. Andrews died November 21, 1977.

Andrews was a member of St. Mathews Episcopal Church, served as a first Lieutenant in World War I and was a disabled American veteran.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. William (Leonora) Frank of Happauge, Long Island, New York, and a sister – in – law, Mrs. Myrtle Dulavey, Enid.
