Douglas Union Cemetery


September 5, 1949 - December 2, 2021

A Celebration of Life service for Theleta M. Williams, age 72, of Marshall, will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with Rev. Robert Stewart and Rev. Dennis Wistrom officiating. Burial will follow in the Douglas Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Theleta was born September 5, 1949, in Enid, OK, to William Vernon and Edna Wilson and passed away December 2, 2021, in St. Mary's Hospital. She was adopted by her aunt and uncle, William Earl and Mabell J. Wilson Thomas, when she was 3 years old. She attended and graduated from Covington-Douglas High School in 1967. She married Larry Williams on March 22, 1968, in the Covington Christian Church. She worked as the head cook at Pioneer Schools for over 30 years. She also had TLT Cake catering business for many years. She catered the Garber Theater. She was an active member of the Douglas Christian Union Church.

Theleta is survived by her husband Larry of the home; daughters, LoRae Sterling and husband David and Tammy Buller and husband Travis; grandchildren, Dylan and Sarah Sterling, Ben and Abby Buller; great-grandchild, Daxton Sterling; brother, Ron Thomas; and 3 nieces and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be made to Douglas Christian Union Church or OMRF -- Diabetes or Heart Division -- with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
