ENID — A Mass of Christian Burial for Stephen George York, age 54, will be held at noon Friday, December 10, 2010, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. Kevin Ratterman will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery with military honors by U.S.A.F. A Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, with Deacon Tony Crispo presiding. He was born to Leonard and Patricia (Bates) York on January 3, 1956, in Shreveport, Louisiana, and died Saturday, December 4, 2010, at his home in Enid. Stephen grew up in Georgia and various places, being a military brat. On March 21, 1995, he married Regina Moritz in Texas. They moved to Enid in June 1996, and he retired in 2002 after serving in the U.S. Air Force for over 27 years. After retirement, he continued to work at Vance Air Force Base. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 1044, and Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Assembly 854. He is survived by his wife Regina; three children, Jeremy York of Raunds, United Kingdom, Melissa York of Decatur, Texas, and Deana York of Arlington, Texas; his father Leonard York of Trenton, Georgia; four grandchildren; and one sister Marilyn York of Trenton, Georgia. Stephen was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia York.
