Mass of Christian burial for Shirlene O'Neill, age 64 of Enid, will be today, January 5, 1998 at 10 AM in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev. James J. Mickus officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home. Rosary services will be Sunday evening, January 4, 1998 at 7 PM in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Tony Crispo officiating.

Mrs. O'Neill was born on February 7, 1933 in Wanette, Oklahoma, the daughter of Elbert and Dessie Mae (Beamon) Vanschuyver, and died Thursday, January 1, 1998 at St. Mary's Mercy Hospital. She grew up in Asher, Oklahoma and moved to Enid with her mother in 1946. She married Hugh O'Neill in Enid on October 18, 1984. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She is survived by, her husband, Hugh of the residence, daughter, Rhonda Lyon and husband Roy of Enid, son, Alan Peterman of Enid, step – daughters, Laura Williams of Enid, Mary Anderson of Enid, and Patty Snyder of Enid. Step – son, Jim O'Neill of Enid, sister, Laverne Gentry of Modesto, California. Brother, E. L. Vanschuyver of Ponca City. 16 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father. Memorials may be made in Mrs. O'Neill's memory to Our Daily Bread with Brown Funeral Home serving as custodian of the fund.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Hugh H. O'Neill, 79, will be at 12 PM Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. Kevin Ratterman will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7 PM Wednesday, in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Tony Crispo will officiate.

He was born in Enid, August 18, 1924 to James B. and Agnes M. Hudnall O'Neill and passed away, Sunday, September 7, 2003 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.

He graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Enid. During WW I I he served in the Navy. Upon his return he attended Phillips University. Hugh met Dorothy May Thompson and they were married September 4, 1948. Together they raised four children. He was a roofing contractor until his retirement and Dorothy was a homemaker until her death in 1981.

In 1984 he married Shirlene Determan. Shirlene died in 1998. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where he was active as an usher, lector, Eucharist Minister and Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the American Legion, Elks and Moose Lodges.
