ENID — Graveside service for Eva “Marie” O’Brate, 87, of Enid, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Calvary Cemetery, Enid. The Rev. Gail Edmison will be officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Marie was born to Orris and Martha (Darney) O’Brate on Aug. 15, 1923, in Enid and died Saturday, March 26, 2011, in Enid.

She grew up in Enid and enjoyed farming, crocheting and embroidering. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Marie enjoyed her time that she spent living at the Sterling House, where the staff was exceptionally kind to her. She liked to feed the birds and loved nature.

Marie is survived by a brother-in-law and his wife, Joe and Mary Ann Owen of Hendersonville, N.C.; cousins, Karen Theilen, Mergie Doll, George Payne, all of Enid, Lucy Webster of Follett, Texas, Glen Payne of Breckinridge, Barton Payne and the Charlie Payne Family of Enid.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Margie Owen.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love.
