ENID, Okla. — Celebration of Life service for Betty L. Moritz, 79, of Enid, Okla., will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2014, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Rajesh K. Mankena as celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary will be 6 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014, at the funeral home. Visitation will follow the Rosary.

Betty was born July 25, 1934, in Cleo Springs, Okla., the daughter of Alfred and Irene Bogardus Hamen and passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014.

She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Enid in 1952.

She met the love of her life, Robert Moritz, retired senior master sergeant while he was stationed at Vance Air force Base and they were married Nov. 18, 1952. He preceded her in death in 1980.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. The family traveled to many places due to his military service. Betty enjoyed playing bingo, card games and crocheting.

Survivors include her daughter, Rene Killam and husband Don of Enid; two sons, Rick Moritz and wife Marsha of Perry and Ron Moritz and wife Denise of Enid; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Hamen Sr. and wife Sherry of Fairview; numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home in the name of Betty Moritz.
