Memorial services for James Mohney were held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2008, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Father Nicholas Voelker presiding. He was cremated and burial was in Calvary Catholic Church Cemetery, Enid, Okla.

James E. Mohney was born June 21, 1935, in Great Bend, to Eugene and Teresa Mohney and died July 22, 2008, at Hutchinson Hospital at the age of 73.

He graduated in 1954 from Memorial High School in Enid, Okla. He had been a resident of Hutchinson since 1954 and was the owner of Mohney Brokerage.

He is survived by a son, Steven James Mohney , Hutchinson; three daughters, Michelle Diane Mohney , Marilyn Kay Mohney , and Anna Louise Mohney , all of San Diego; a sister, Jane Walker and husband Donald, St. Louis.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and his former wife, Mary Louise Hill.
