Recitation of the Rosary for Boyd Eugene Mitchell, 85, will be today at 7 PM at Anderson – Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Tony Chrispo, Deacon, will officiate. Mass of Christian Burial will be noon Monday at St. Francis Xavier Church. The Reverends Kevin Ratterman and Ernest Flusche will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson – Burris Funeral Home.

He was born June 30, 1921, southwest of Cherokee to Frank Finis and Marie Jenieve Scherer Mitchell and died Friday, March 9, 2007, in Enid.

He graduated from St. Joseph's School in 1940. He attended Enid Business College. He served in the Army during World War I I. He worked for George E. Failing Company for six years, then as an accountant for several oil companies in Washington, Texas and Mississippi. He retired in 1983 and moved back to Enid. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Surviving are three sisters, Ora Lee Kruse of Hillsdale, Mary Haselwander of Enid and Lorraine Dolan of Kerrville, Texas; two brothers, Kelly Mitchell and Michael Mitchell, both of Enid.

He was preceded in death by one sister.
