ENID, OK — Funeral service for Karen "Ann" Lavicky, 63, will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2014, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Brian Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be 4-5 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Anderson-Burris.

Ann was born to Vincel and Fannie (Bullis) Cordry on Nov. 18, 1950, in Enid, Okla., and passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014.

Ann was a 1968 graduate of Hennessey High School and then graduated from Northwestern, Alva.

On May 19, 1973, she married Marty Lavicky in Hennessey.

Ann taught elementary education at Hennessey Middle School. She later was a medical transcriptionist for Bass Hospital, Enid Eye Clinic and various doctors in Enid, including her brother.

She is survived by her husband, Marty of the home; son, Jason Lavicky and wife Wei of Wilmette, Ill.; grandson, Trevor; brother, Dr. Ray Cordry Jr. and wife Marcia of Hennessey; and brother-in-law, Tom and wife Anita Lavicky of Enid; and other relatives and friends.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials are to OMRF, lupus or arthritis division.

Mass of Christian burial for Marty Lavicky, 63, will be noon Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with Father Carson Kittenbrink officiating.

Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with family will be 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home.

Marty was born to John and Agnes (Pospisil) Lavicky on Nov. 27, 1950, in Enid, Okla., and passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, in Enid.

Marty graduated from Enid High School and then earned a bachelor’s degree at Northwestern.

On May 19, 1973, he married Karen Ann Cordry. They made their home in Enid.

Marty taught at Drummond High School for several years. He then worked at Atwoods for 36 years, where he was the assistant store manager. Marty was a member of Saint Francis, where he was a Lector and R.E. teacher. He enjoyed fishing and O.U. football.

Marty is survived by his son, Jason Lavicky and wife Wei of Wilmette, Ill.; grandson, Trevor; brother, Tom Lavicky and wife Anita of Enid; and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann, and his parents.

Memorials may be made to OMRF, Melanoma division or Hospice Circle of Love.
