Calvary Catholic Cemetery



Mrs. John (Grace Marie) Kennedy, 71, 410 N. 19th, died Monday in a local hospital.

Born October 7, 1896, in Minnesota, she came to Oklahoma in May 1929, settling near Enid. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier church, the Altar Society and the St. Cecilia Study Club. The former Grace Marie Axtell, she married John M. Kennedy in 1915.

Survivors include her widower, John, of the home; a son, Major (retired) John Edward Kennedy, Vietnam; four grandchildren; a great – grandson; and a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Backstorm, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Recitation of the rosary will be at 7:30 PM today at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday in St. Francis Xavier Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
