Calvary Catholic Cemetery



Mrs. Bert (Elizabeth) Hynes, 79, 1016 N. Washington, died in a local hospital late Friday evening after a short illness.

Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:30 PM Sunday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Monday in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery.

Born in Anthony, Kansas, she moved to Oklahoma as a young girl with her parents and settled north of Hunter. She attended Rose Valley rural school and later traveled for the Post Cereal Company and established a home in Enid.

She married Robert E. (Bert) Hynes, August 10, 1923, at McAlester and in 1924 they made Enid their home. She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

She is survived by her widower, Bert, of the home, five sisters, Mrs. Ova Clements, and Mrs. Harry (Pheba) Nickel, Long Beach, California; Mrs. Zona Myers, Mrs. O. W. (Zetta) Home, Redwood City, California; and Mrs. Roxy Maxfield, Los Angeles, California.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.
