Recitation of the Rosary for David M. Hughes, 22, who died late Sunday evening in a local hospital, will be at 8 PM Wednesday in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Thursday in St. Francis Xavier Church with the Rev. Lowell Stieferman, the Rev. Marvin F. Levin and Chaplain Major Samuel Zebron officiating. Hughes will be buried in the Calvary Cemetery.

He was born August 24, 1957, in Enid. Hughes attended Hayes elementary school, Waller junior high and graduated from Enid high school. He also graduated from Northern Oklahoma College at Tonkawa. At the time of his death he was attending Southwestern State University at Weatherford and was employed at the Clinton Regional Hospital in Clinton.

His was a member of St. Eugene Church and the Newman Club at Weatherford. While in school, he played in the band at Waller Junior Hi and at Northern Oklahoma College.

Hughes is survived by his parents, Don W. and Dorothy Hughes of 1410 Chickasaw; a brother, Roger Hughes of Greenville, South Carolina; two sisters, Mrs. Dale (Carol) Dickerson and Mrs. Phil (Diana) Peckham, both of Enid; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Sophia Chropkowski and his paternal grandfather, J. Frank Hughes, both of Grand Island, Nebraska.

Memorials may be made to the Children's Research Center at the Children's Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City. Henninger-Allen will serve as custodian of the Memorial fund.
