Tom Hope, 56, 1018 Cheyenne Dr., died at noon Monday of an apparent heart attack.

Funeral mass will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday in St. Francis Xavier Church with Rev. Marvin F Leven officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

Born in Enid February 1, 1913, he was employed by the JC Penney Company here and in Woodward following graduation from high school.

He married Helen Kennedy in April, 1937, and they made their home in Tulsa where he worked for Douglas Aircraft during World War I I.

Following the war, he worked at an oil firm in St. Louis for a brief period until 1948 when he joined the Long – Bell Lumber Company, remaining with the firm 15 years. Hope returned to Enid in 1963 where he owned and operated the Tom Hope and Associates Printing Company.

He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church.

Survivors include his wife, Helen, of the home; a son, Mike Hope, Toledo, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Les (Lucy) Zimmerer, Kansas City, Missouri, and Mrs. Roger (Mary Rita) Shepherd, Enid; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Bill (Mary) Davis, Enid; three brothers, Hall Hope, Enid, C. A. Hope, Shawnee, and E. N. Hope, Chicago, Illinois.
