Recitation of the Rosary for Theodore (Ted) Hodgden, 72, 3406 Mayberry, will be at 7:30 PM Friday in the Chapel of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday in the St. Francis Xavier Church with the Rev. Gerald Ucker the celebrant. Burial in the Calvary Cemetery will be under the direction of Ladusau-Evans.

Hodgdon died Wednesday in a local hospital after a period of ill health. He was born May 9, 1901, west of Enid and had lived in the Enid community his entire life. He graduated from St. Mary's high school in Hays, Kansas, and attended Oklahoma State University, where his major was animal husbandry.

Hodgden, a prominent area farmer and rancher, was a member of the Soil Conservation Association, chairman of the Turkey Creek Watershed and a charter member of the National Livestock Credit Association.

He was a member of the St. Francis church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.

Hodgden and Rose Theodora were married May 6, 1925, and she survives him. Other survivors are two sons, Edward T. Hodgden of Alva and Francis H. Hodgden of Enid; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas G. (Mary Agnes) Romine of Dallas, Texas; 13 grandchildren; two great – granddaughters; a sister and a brother, Mrs. Mike (Mary) Holland and Walter N. Hodgden both of Enid.
