Mass of Christian Burial for Josephine Heimann is 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2018, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the Reverend Joseph Irwin officiating. Recitation of Rosary is 6:00 p.m. today, May 10, 2018, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial follows in Calvary Cemetery. Viewing of Josephine begins at 1:00 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Josephine was born June 14, 1938, in Sharon Springs, Kansas, to Louis and Maria Agapita (Valerio) Garcia. She was the oldest of ten children and passed away May 7, 2018. She resided in Enid, Oklahoma, for 20 years with her spouse Robert Heimann, who preceded her in death in 2011. She returned to Kansas in 2013, and spent her last four years of life in Overbrook, Kansas, in a loving environment. Josephine was an avid quilter who hand stitched all of her beautiful quilts with love for her children and grandchildren, who she often referenced as her angels. She had a deep faith in God and with a warm heart reached out and contributed to various charities. She will so dearly be missed by her loved ones. Josephine was such a beautiful woman and such a wonderful mother, grandmother, spouse, aunt and sibling.

She is survived by daughters, Patty Mack of Mission, KS; Joyce Engel-Sanchez of Lee's Summit, MO; Stacy Hagenbuch and husband, Lyle of Lawrence, KS; grandchildren, Jeremy Vance, Heather Degraffenreid, Andrew Sanchez and wife Lilya, and Jake Hagenbuch; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Jake, Milla and Lukas, and one great-great-grandchild, Zoie.

She is preceded in death by sons, Raymond Engel and Joseph Engel, and grandson, Noah Hagenbuch.

Memorials may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or Our Daily Bread, with Henninger~Hinson acting as custodian of the funds.
