The graveside service for Henry Joe Grothe, Sr. will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 4, 2016 in Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Tony Crispo officiating. Services are under the direction of Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home.

Henry was born August 11, 1934 in Enid to Henry and Angeline (Miller) Grothe and passed away February 1, 2016.

He married Dina Kondo in April 1956 and the couple made their home in Manila, Philippines until moving back to Enid in 1967 where they opened Joseph's Hair Stylist.

Henry is survived by sons, James Grothe and wife, Elizabeth; Henry Grothe, Jr. and wife, Angie; Dr. Charles Grothe and wife, Mary; daughter, Angie Maurer and husband, Greg; nine grandchildren, Dr. Katie Maurer, Charles, Elizabeth, Billy, Casey, Ashley, Amanda, Carter and Samantha Grothe, also numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one brother and one sister.
