Celestina "Tina" Burkard

November 24, 1932 - May 11, 2019

Funeral service for Tina Burkard will be Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at 11:00a.m. in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary will be Tuesday, May 14, at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Tina was born on November 24, 1932, in Bronte, Texas, to Juventino and Ysable Montano and died on May 11, 2019, in Enid.

Celestina grew up in Bronte and married Vidal Martinez. They had six children and they made their home in Texas, Kansas, before making Enid their home in 1956. Vidal died in December 1989. Tina worked for twenty years at Billings Fairchild Center and Sunnyside as a caretaker. On October 16, 1993, she married William Burkard. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Tina enjoyed her home, fishing, playing board games and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vidal; son, John; two brothers and two sisters.

Tina is survived by husband, Bill; children and their spouses, Bill (Sheila) Martinez, Mary Classen, Jesse (Kathy) Martinez, Luis Martinez, all of Enid, Ernie (Barbara) Martinez of Arlington, Texas; five grandchildren, Matthew (Shyra), John, Lauren, Sydni, Conner (Ty); two great grandchildren, Emory and Nora; two sisters and their husbands, Beatrice (Gilberto) Basquez and Frances (Pasquel) Rios; other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Our Daily Bread or St. Joseph Catholic School. Condolences may be made online at www.andersonburris.com.
