Lucille A. Bura, 83, died Thursday December 13, 1979 at an Enid hospital after a months' long illness. Bura was born near Alice, Kansas. Mrs. Bura was raised on a farm in the Marion- Pilsen, Kansas area. The former Lucille A. Hajeck married to Benjamin H. Bura at Marion on May 26, 1914. they moved to a farm one mile west of Kremlin in 1921, where they lived until coming to Enid in 1935. Her husband died on Dec. 15, 1944.
Mrs. Bura belonged to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Celeste J. Bura, Glen Burnie, MD., and Frank J. Bura, of the home; four daughters, Gabriela Bura of the home, Mrs. Bryon (Sylvia) Joyce, Enid, Mrs. Jim (Martha) Wolfenbarger, Covington and Lillian Wolfenbarger of Wichita, Kan; one sister, Bessie Kaupaun, Philsen, Kan.; 19 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Besides her husband, Mrs. Bura was preceded in death by two sisters, one son and two great grandsons. A wake Bible service for Mrs. Bura was held at 8 pm Sunday in Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass was at 10 am today at the church with the Rev. Lowell Stieferman officiating. Burial was in Enid Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.
