Rose Apel

Mrs. Henry N. (Rose) Apel, 72, Oklahoma City, died in a hospital there late Tuesday after a lengthy illness.

Wake Bible service will be at 7 PM Friday in the Chapel of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

Funeral mass will be Saturday at 10 AM in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Marvin Leven officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

She was born on a farm near Okeene. She and Henry N. Apel were married at Okeene August 4, 1926, and established their first home in Enid, later moving south of town. They had lived in Del City since 1958 and had celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary.

Mrs. Apel was a member of St. Paul's Apostle Church in Del city.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Casier H. (Louise) Montgomery and Mrs. Cass Emmit Jr. (Betty Ann) Miller, both of Enid, Mrs. Don R. (Bernice) Pierce, Harlingen, Texas, Mrs. Jim (Dora Mae) Meloy, Oklahoma City, Mrs. James R. (Marlene) Kokojan, Waukomis, Mrs. Jack (Rose Marie) LaRue, Tulsa, Mrs. Charles (Sue Ellen) Parks, Piedmont; 21 grandchildren; two great – grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ida Seifert, Albuquerque, New Mexico; a step – sister, Mrs. Viola Frazey, Wichita, Kansas; a half – brother, Joe Descher, Okeene; two half – sisters, Mrs. Bill (Ella) Dwyer, Wichita and Mrs. Bill (Julie) Bode, Okeene. Two brothers and two sisters died earlier.
