February 3, 1946 - October 11, 2017

The funeral service for Steven Robert Anderson, age 71, will be at 10:00 AM Monday, October 16, 2017, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Deacon Tony Crispo officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, with military honors by the United States Navy Honor Guard. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Steven was born to Robert and Florence (Larson) Anderson on February 3, 1946, in Rochester, Minnesota, and passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at the Clinton V.A. Center.

Steven graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1964, where he played football and baseball. He then served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 – 1970 aboard the USS Rupertus, where he was a radio operator. He married Kathryn Vogt on October 24, 1970. Steven attended college at Cal State Fullerton, graduating in 1975 with a Bachelors Degree. Steven enjoyed going to the beach, golfing, tennis, reading and fishing. He was an incredibly hard worker supporting five children and a wife.

He is survived by his children, Eric Anderson, Kimberly Webb, Mary Keener, Stephanie Comer, and Brian Anderson; eleven grandchildren; four sisters, Connie Fox, Nancy Nelson, Jeanne Anderson, and Helen Thompson.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents and infant twin brothers.

Memorials may be made to the Clinton V.A. Center.
