The Service Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Alma Louise Hunter, 91, Edmond, formerly of Enid, is 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, in the Mathews Funeral Chapel, Edmond. Burial will be held privately in the Calvary Cemetery, Enid. Complete Cremation Care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Alma was born Oct. 11, 1924, in Tontitown, Ark., to Albino and Catherine Maestri Roso, and passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016 at her home in Edmond. She attended St. Ann's Academy and St. Edwards Hospital, Ft. Smith, Ark., obtaining her RN. In 1958, Alma married Howard Ross Hunter at St. James's Catholic Church, Oklahoma City on April 1. They were married 55 years and their love was an example for many.

Alma worked in several places before taking employment at the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City, retiring after 15 years. Howard and Alma traveled the world during their retirement years. Alma was an active member of St. Gregory Catholic Church.

Alma is survived by her children, Sherry Hutchison and husband, James, of Edmond; Allen Hunter and wife, Andrea, of Fairway, Kan.; Patti Baldridge and husband, Mike, of Sand Springs; grandchildren and spouses, Chris and Allison Hutchison; Paige Hutchison; Caroline Hunter; Mandy and Ronny Hilligoss; Jill Baldridge; and one great-grandchild, Hunter Ridge Hilligoss.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials donations in Alma's honor to Our Daily Bread, of Enid, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
