Calvary Catholic Cemetery



The mass of Christian burial for Paul F. Guthrie, 74 year-old Enid resident will be Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 2PM in the Henninger-Hinson Chapel. Deacon Tony Crispo will ofiiciate. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery.

Paul was born February 26, 1935 in Enid and died Friday, December 25, 2009 in Greenbrier Nursing Home. He attended local schools. After school, he began working for Pepsi Bottling Co. He then worked for Coca-Cola Bottling for a time and then returned to Pepsi. Most of his life he was a diesel mechanic, working for various businesses here in Enid.

On February 8, 1960 he married Eileen Callahan in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. His passion was restoring old cars. He liked to sing and play his guitar. He loved his dog "Rowdy". He was baptized on Easter Vigil, April 11, 2006 in St. Francis.

He is survived by his wife Eileen, of the home, 4 children; Linda Wipf, Neil Guthrie, Brian Guthrie, and Carol Gregory, 4 grandchildren; Natasha Gregory, Clayton Guthrie, and Isaac and Jake Wipf. One brother and two sisters, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to OMRF(Heart Division).
