Calvary Catholic Cemetery



The mass of Christian burial for Eileen E. Callahan Guthrie, 75 year-old Enid resident will be Friday, January 4, 2012 at 12:00 noon in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Rev. Rajesh Mankenna will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Eileen was born January 13, 1937 in Enid to Emmett and Helen (McCreedy) Callahan and died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at her home. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic Schools and graduated from Memorial High School. She then attended Enid Business College. On February 8, 1960 she married Paul Guthrie in St. Francis Catholic Church. She worked at Vance Air Force Base with Northrop as a purchasing agent and in supplies for 31 years, retiring in 2001. She enjoyed working in her garden, game shows, and working word puzzles.

She is survived by her three children, Linda Wipf and husband Pete, Neil Guthrie and wife Mindy, and Brian Guthrie, and four grandchildren; Natasha Gregory and husband Bill White, Isaac Wipf and wife Macey, and Jake Wipf, and Clayton Guthrie, one great-granddaughter, Leah Marie, one sister, Mary Margaret Klem, and her close friend Debra Eden.

She was preceded by her husband Paul in 2009, daughter Carol Gregory in 2012, and one sister Jean Johnson.
