James Anthony Dempewolf ("Jim")
October 12, 1946 - July 10, 2022

Mass of Christian Burial for James "Jim" Dempewolf, 75, will be Friday, July 15, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with Reverend Mark Mason celebrant. Inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

James was born on October 12, 1946, in Wamego, Kansas, to Douglas and Florence Roth Dempewolf and died with his family by his side on July 10, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He grew up in Enid and graduated from Memorial High School in 1965. After high school, Jim served in the U.S. National Guard. He was the Garfield County Election Board Secretary for several years before his career as an agent for Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. He retired as Chief Agent. Jim was director of security for Enid Board of Education before becoming owner and operator of the Frisco Bar. Jim was an Aviation Security Officer for U.S. Marshal's service. He was a longtime member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

On December 23, 1992, he married Wanda Clover in Enid, where they made their home. Jim loved fishing and spending time with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Maureen Holley.

Jim is survived by his wife, Wanda; children and spouses, Kim (Mike) Wallace, Kristie (David) Rudd, Tim (Mae) Jacobi, Steve (Stephanie) Jacobi, Kevin (Erica) Jacobi; 15 grandchildren; two sisters, Kathleen Dempewolf and Jane Landreneau; other relatives and many friends.
