IRVIN HENRY MCCANDLESS

14 May 1904 - 3 Nov 1980

FARGO - Funeral services for Irvin Henry McCandless, 76, will be at 2 p.m. today in the United Methodist Church of Fargo with the Rev. Chester Johnson of Vici officiating.

Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, north of Fargo, with the Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Woodward in charge of arrangements.

McCandless was born May 14, 1904, in the Greenwood community. He and Velma Beulah Smith were married March 9, 1922, at Arnett. They lived in the Greenwood community until moving to Dumas, Texas, in 1942. In 1966, they moved to Fargo.

McCandless was a member of the Greenwood Presbyterian Church. He died Monday in a Woodward hospital.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Ralph Edward McCandless of Oklahoma city; a daughter, Twila Fae Rose of Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Ruby Brown of Fargo and Georgia McConald of Springfield Mo.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
