Roger Prewett, 81 year old Fargo resident, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 at his home in Fargo. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2026 at the First Baptist Church, Woodward with Reverend Steve Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Fargo Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Roger Allen Prewett was born on December 13, 1944 in Omaha, Nebraska to Cheryl and Golda (Hamaker) Prewett. Roger grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and Fargo, Oklahoma, the family spent the winters in Omaha and the summers and holidays in Fargo to tend to the ranch. He graduated from Omaha Benson High School. He later received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma.
He was united in marriage to Judy Allen on June 6, 1965 in Drummond, Oklahoma. They made their first home in Enid and later lived in Topeka, Kansas and York, Nebraska before settling in Fargo, Oklahoma. Roger worked as a Teacher, Home Builder, and a Mobile Home Dealer, but his greatest love was ranching, which he did all of his life.
Roger was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodward and also supported the Fargo Methodist Church. He helped start the men's prayer breakfast at the Methodist church in Fargo and he helped bring KJIL Christian radio to Woodward. Roger loved his family, his church family, friends, sharing his faith in the Lord, giving advice and helping fulfill any need. His best days were when the cattle market and the stock market were having good days.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy Prewett of the home; one son, Allen Prewett; two daughters: Sheryl Nall and husband Trebor, Shelly Levy and husband Michael; seven grandchildren: Paige and Scott Manning, Seth and Devan Nall, Anna and Bailey Plaza, Olivia Nall, Piper Levy, Briggs Levy, and Emerson Levy; great-grandchildren: Shepherd, Rhodes, and Fisher Manning, Knox Nall, and Emma Nall (due in April); one brother, Omer Prewett and wife Joanne; one sister Linda Prewett; other relatives and many friends.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, C.H. and Golda Prewett, sister, Margaret Davis, and his in-laws, William and Anna Belle Allen.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, Fargo Methodist Church, Fargo Fire Department, or the Fargo Public Schools with the funeral home accepting the contributions on behalf of the family.
