Karen Sue Williams was born at home in Delta Colorado to Dorothy & Harold Webb on July 13th 1947. Karen was considered to be a thoughtful child, being born early on a Sunday morning in time for the midwives to go to church. She was the oldest of three daughters – Janine and Lynda Webb are her surviving siblings. Karen attended Delta High School and graduated in 1965. She was a bright yet deeply shy student who did well in school and moved onto a career in business that kept her more than busy for nearly 20 years.

A proud moment in Karen’s life was the experience and grateful outcome of her military service. Karen enlisted in the US Army in February 1976 and was assigned to active duty on May 4th of the same year. Karen found her commitment to the US Army conflicted with her devotion to God and the Church, thus, after petitioning on her own behalf she received an honorable discharge from the military for an inability to serve due to deeply religious beliefs. Karen was an avid member of The Church of the Firstborn in Oklahoma City, OK, as was her mother Dorothy. Karen was baptized and became a Sister in the church on April 4th 1976 by Brother Clyde Lewis. Karen lived with her mother in Oklahoma City, OK until Dorothy’s passing in November of 1992. Throughout that time Karen worked diligently at Tinker Airforce Base until finding the love of her life in December of 1992, Brother Ronnie Williams who was an Elder in the Atoka Church. She and Ronnie were married at a large church service in OK City, OK in June of 1993. She and Ronnie moved to Atoka after they were married and lived there until Ronnie’s passing in July of 1995. Karen found her way back to Oklahoma City thereafter and into the supporting fold of the Church where she lived until she decided to move with and near family to Grand Junction, Colorado in August of 2004. She resided in Grand Junction to be nearby her family and attended The Church of the Firstborn on Orchard Mesa. Karen loved being a Sister in the Church, spending time camping and fishing with family, cracking wise and being a goof-ball, all things furry or feathered, blessing your heart, reminiscing about her youth and her Mother, hugging, traveling, sweeties, and snuggling into a warm blanket with tea to read fantasy novels. Still being a thoughtful child, Sis. Karen left this world early on Sunday morning, so those caring for her could attend church.

Karen is survived by her father and step-mother Harold and Sondra Webb of Delta, CO; her younger sisters and brother-in-law, Lynda Webb and Janine & Michael Sitz of Grand Junction, CO; her two nieces, nephew-in-law, and great niece, Breanna Fogg of Cedaredge, CO and Brandi & Sam Dantzler with Abigail Dantzler of Littleton, CO Karen is preceded in death by her loving and perfect Mother, Dorothy Mae Webb (Easter) and her devoted husband Ronnie Williams.
