CONNIE LOU RANDALL

July 29, 1949 - November 26, 2017

Connie Lou (Leatherman) Randall was born July 29, 1949 in Perryton, TX to Kenneth and Norma (Mann) Leatherman. She was the oldest of three children. She made her home in heaven on Nov. 26, 2017

Connie attended elementary school in Palmdale, California before the family moved back to Oklahoma. Connie graduated from Beaver High School in 1967 and was united in marriage to Cecil Dewayne Randall on June 17, 1967. They were blessed with five children: Eddie Dewayne, Brian Shane, Donya LeeAnn, Cheri Irene, and Aaron James.

Connie completed a semester of college at Oklahoma Panhandle State University before she focused her attention on being a full-time wife and mother. While Cecil completed his military training, they lived in Laredo, TX and Tucson, AZ before returning to Vici, OK in 1973. They started CeCon Construction, and Connie handled to books and any other tasks necessary to keep things running smoothly.

Connie was baptized on April 17, 1977 at Welling, OK by her father-in-law, and was a faithful member of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. She treasured time spent with the Brethren.

Following the death of her beloved husband Cecil in July of 1994, Connie worked at Vici Public Schools as a Teachers Assistant. Connie loved books, and she thoroughly enjoyed helping children learn to read. She returned to school to complete her education in 1995. She received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 1999 and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 grade point average. After Graduation, she was hired to teach 5th grade at Vici. All of her students held a special place in her heart.

Retirement allowed Connie to pursue her various hobbies and spend more time with her grandchildren. She was a creative person and dabbled in watercolors, pencil drawings, quilting, and crocheting. She enjoyed a variety of crossword and logic puzzles. She loved her family and was extremely proud of her grandchildren. She was a kind-hearted woman with a ready smile and soft-spoken words of encouragement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Norma Leatherman, her loving husband Cecil, her In-laws, Harvey and Irene Randall, brothers-in-law Leland McLain, Clyde Gregory, and Garvin Morris.

She is survived by her children, Eddie and Deborah Randall of Ponca City, Brian and Kristal Randall of Fairview, Donya and Spencer Percival of Valley Center, KS, Cheri and Floyd Dixon of Fort Gibson, and Aaron and Tonya Randall of Vici; twelve grandchildren, Chance, Tyler, and Devon Randall, Laura and Shane Randall, Sabrina and Geneva Percival, Karli Dixon, and Kory, Anthony, Eli, and David Randall; sister, Vickie Duncan and husband Johnny of Morris, OK; brother, K.C.
