Ivan Alejandro Peña Muñoz, 19 year old Vici resident, passed from this life on December 1, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on July 31, 1996, in Chihuahua, Mexico to Santiago Ruben Peña and Maria Lorena Muñoz Flores. The family lived in Chihuahua, Mexico and then moved to Vici, Oklahoma. He attended Vici Public School from second grade until graduating with the Class of 2015.

Ivan attended the Church of the Nazarene in Vici, Oklahoma and as a young child he was baptized at the Christian Church. He enjoyed participating in the youth programs. Ivan was always happy and had a smile on his face. He was currently working as a Welder at Everett’s Welding & Repair and a cook at the Vici Restaurant. When younger he mowed yards for spending money.

Ivan enjoyed baseball, hunting, riding 4 wheelers at the South Canadian River, playing pool and video games. Every chance he got he loved spending time with family and friends. Ivan received honors at Regional high school champion in engineering at the Oklahoma State Science and engineering fair and third place in engineering fair. Ivan received numerous awards in high school baseball which included, 2011-2012, Freshmen year, Most Improved Offensive Player; 2012-2013, Sophomore year, Workaholic Award; 2013-2014, Junior year, Vici Town Champs, Shattuck Tournament Consolation, District Champs, Regional Runner Up, Indian Award, Home Run Club; 2014-2015, Senior year, Northwest Classic Consolation Champs. He was an Oklahoma Blood Institute Honor Cord recipient. In welding he was on the Superintendents leadership team for High Plains Technology Center and obtained State 6G pipe certification.

Ivan was preceded in death by his father Santiago Peña; grandmothers Leonor Peña and Severa Flores; and uncle Luis Carlos Flores.

Ivan is survived by his mother Lorena Muñoz of Vici, Oklahoma; brothers Marcos Peña and wife Aleida Medina Flores of Chihuahua, Mexico and Omar Peña of Chihuahua, Mexico; sisters Rosa Altamirano and husband Carlos of Vici, Oklahoma, Caro Peña of Chihuahua, Mexico, and Joselin Peña of Vici, Oklahoma; grandfather Ramon Muñoz of Chihuahua, Mexico; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Ivan will be missed by all.

Ivan Alejandro Pena Munoz fue un joven residente de Vici de tan solo 19 anos; el parte a una nueva y mejor vida el dia 1de diciembre de 2015 en Oklahoma city. Nace el 31 de Julio de 1996 en Chihuahua, Mexico. Siendo el Quinto hijo Santiago Ruben Pena y Maria Lorena Munoz Flores. Ivan llega a la escuela de Vici en el Segundo grado y se gradua en la clase de 2015; asistio a la iglesia de Nazarene y es bautizado siendo un nino por la iglesia Cristiana.

Gozaba de participar en todas sus multiples actividades, siendo siempre servicial y amable. era un joven feliz y siempre tenia una sonrisa en su rostro. Trabajar fue su satisfaccion, era soldador en Everestts Welding & Repair y tambien cocinero en Vici Restaurant, su primer trabajo de nino fue cortar las yardas de pasto en el pueblo de Vici.

Su pasion era el baseboll, le gustaba la caceria, pasear en motos, pescar en el rio, jugar billar y video juegos.

Amaba pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos; recibio algunos reconocimientos en vida como por ejemplo campeonato nacional de la high school y su gran participacion en proyecto de ciencias en el estado de Oklahoma.

1er y 3er lugar en la feria de ingenieria; ademas de otros numerosos premios dentro de la liga de high school de baseboll incluidos : 2011 – 2012 el premio como jugador ofensivo mas importante 2012 – 2013 el campeonato workaholic 2013- 2014 campeonato de la liga de vici en el torneo de Shattuck en Oklahoma y el de corridor regional del club de homerun. 2014 – 2015 considerado para el campeonato del clasico de northwest.

Ivan era un activo donador de sangre en el instituto de sangre de Oklahoma, como soldador formaba parte de la direccion de superintendents para la high plains technology center obtuvo la certificacion estatal de 6G PIPE.

le anteceden como difuntos su padre Santiago Ruben Pena, sus abuelas Leonor Pena y Severa Flores y recientemente su tio Luis Carlos Flores.

Le sobreviven su abuelo Ramon Munoz, su madre Lorena Munoz Flores y sus hermanos Marcos Pena y su esposa Aleida Medina Flores; ademas de Omar Pena y Carolina Pena de Chihuahua mexico. Y en Vici su hermana Rosa Altamirano y esposo Carlos Altamirano y su hermana pequena Joselin Pena.
