Phyllis "Jo" Josephine (Husmann) Kuper, 67 year old resident of Vici, Oklahoma passed away on February 22, 2016 in her home. Jo was born on November 2, 1948 to Arnold and Anise (Lemmons) Husmann in Amarillo, Texas. She attended grade school at St. Anthony Catholic School in Hereford, Texas. Jo went to high school at The Covenant of the Dominican Sisters in Great Bend, Kansas and graduated with the Class of 1967.

On January 6, 1968 Jo married Marvin Kuper at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hereford, Texas. To this union 6 children were born Scott, Amy, Becky, Carey, Kyle, and Dani. Jo was a school cook for many years at the Vici Public School.

November 12, 1948 Jo was baptized at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hereford, Texas. She was a member of the St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church in Seiling, Oklahoma. Jo was involved as the Lector of Church. Jo enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking, and going to her grandkids activities.

Jo is preceded in death by her parents Arnold and Anise Husmann; brother Steve Husmann; son-in-law Raymond Holder, and her beloved pet Tippy.

Jo is survived by husband Marvin Kuper of the home; son Scott Kuper of Camargo, Oklahoma; daughters Amy Holder of Waller, Texas, Becky Thompson of Woodward, Oklahoma, Carey Henexson of Vici, Oklahoma; son Kyle Kuper of Vici, Oklahoma; daughter Dani Wood and husband Bob of Ft. Supply, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; longtime friend De Abbott; caregiver Fawn Ross; longtime family friends Terry and Deana Smith and other loved ones.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Faith Hospice and all of the members of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church for all the care and love given to mom.
