Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn east of Vici, OK at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery.

Jackie Ann (Turner) Boedecker was born into this world on August 3rd, 1959 in Eckert, Colorado. She was the youngest child of Gene and Ann Turner. She lived with her parents and older sister Elra in Grants, New Mexico and Olathe, Colorado before moving to Nucla, Colorado for the majority of her childhood years. In 1974 the family made their final move to Vici, Oklahoma, where she completed her education and graduated valedictorian of her class.

Jackie was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on May 24, 1978, where she remained a faithful servant until the end. Shortly after she was baptized she met the love of her life, Melvin Boedecker, and they were wed on February 15, 1980. To this happy union four children were born: Jake, Josh, Hannah, and Jordan. Jackie loved all of her family dearly, and enjoyed spending time with her loved ones and brethren camping, golfing, and meeting for Tuesday morning breakfast with the girls.

At an early age Jackie developed a love for music that she enjoyed sharing with her children and many others. Many people have been encouraged by songs that she composed and recorded in her latter days. Jackie loved life, continually impressing others with her wit and wisdom. Throughout her life, Jackie had a fondness for her pets, but she developed a special bond with her most prized dog, Tipper.

On November 10, 2014, with her family by her side, Jackie was called home to be with the Father.

Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Gene Turner, and two infant daughters, Hannah and Jordan Boedecker. She is survived by her husband, Melvin Boedecker of Vici, her two sons, Jake Boedecker of Hardtner, Kansas, and Josh Boedecker of Vici, her mother, Ann Turner of Vici, her sister, Elra Randall and husband Donnie of Vici, her nephew, Mark Randall of Vici, and her niece, Molly Gardner and husband Brett of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and a host of family and friends.
