MAXINE LOU ALBIN

2 Jan 1938 - 2 Aug 1998

Woodward – The funeral for Maxine Lou Albin, 60, will be 10 AM Thursday in Faith United Methodist Church at Woodward. The Rev. Larry Masoner will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, east of Vici, under direction of Billings Funeral Home.

She was born January 2, 1938, in Wichita, Kansas, to Max Audrey and Myrtle Lou Hammond Barney and died Sunday, August 2, 1998, at her home in Woodward. At the age of eight, she moved with the family to Oklahoma City, then to Vici when she was 14. She attended the Vici schools, graduating in 1955. She was elected Miss Betty Crocker in a nationwide competition while a senior in high school. After graduation, she attended Enid Business College. She then moved to Oklahoma City and worked as a bookkeeper.

She was married while living in Oklahoma City. The family lived in several cities in Oklahoma and Texas.

In 1976, she moved to Woodward and was employed at the Fruit of the Loom factory. She also worked at the Mutual Feed Lot, then worked at the Filing Hospital as a bookkeeper and later as office manager. She was a member of the vice I Christian Church.

Surviving are two sons, Robert Bussinger of Woodward and William Bussinger of Vidor, Texas; one daughter, Ruan Keath of Woodward; her mother, Nina Barney of Vici; one sister, Barbara Graham of Woodward; one brother, Lyle Saxton of Broadrun, West Virginia; 10 grandchildren; and one great – grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father.
