LEO JOE HURT

LEO JOE HURT The funeral for Leo Joe Hurt, 97, of Seiling will be 10:30 a.m. Monday January 21,2008 at Redinger Funeral Home Chapel. Clyde Irving and Roland Luelf, pastors, will officiate. Burial will be in Brumfield Cemetery. Arrangements are by Redinger Funeral Home, Seiling.

He was born March 19, 1909, in the Phroso area of Major County to John A. and Antonia Marusakova Hurt and died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at Seiling.

He attended Phroso school before moving east of Seiling, then attended school at Diamond and Seiling. He took over the operation of the family farm in 1928. He married Birdena Adams in 1932. In the mid-1960s and 1970s, they owned and operated Hurt’s Dairy Boy in Seiling. He also operated a hunting and fishing business.

Surviving are one daughter, Loretta Froling of Seiling; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Birdena, he was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, three brothers, four sisters and two great-grandsons.
